William (Bill)'s Story
After graduating NKCHS spent a year and a quarter at the Univ of Utah but had little direction and partied too much. Dropped out in Jan 66 and went to work in So Cal for 4 months before Uncle Sam got me reclassified and drafted. Spent my 2 yrs in the states and Germany. Got my head straight by the end of '68 and returned to Utah to finish my degree in accounting. When I graduated in '...Expand for more
71, I got my first professional position in Sacramento with the Corps of Engineers. I spent the rest of my career with the Corps working in Omaha for 16 yrs and then transferring to Champaign, IL where I worked for 11 yrs and retired in '02. When people ask what I do, I tell them 'anything I want to do'. My wife Gail and I have 3 daughters (TX, NE, & MO) and 5 grandchildren (TX & NE).
